Worlds was sitting in the crib watching ESPN, when he received a phone call. He picked up his iPhone from off the nightstand and looked at the screen.

“Yo, Bubb! What’s good, my nigga?” he said, answering it.

“Ain’t shit. Can you talk right now?”

“Yeah. I was just watching this shit about Durant. That nigga really just left OKC to go to Golden State.”

“Wouldn’t you do that shit just to play with the Splash brothers?” Bubb stated. “Anyway, shit has been hot around here ever since you handled your business with ol’ boy. I think somebody is talking, but they not saying you. They blaming it on some niggas from the Gardens, so, my nigga, you in the clear!”

“That’s good to know. Now I can hit up my homie and get to the money. I was tired of sitting around the crib all day.”

“Well just look out when you get some work. Shit has really been dry around here,” Bubb stated.

“I have a little something for you right now if you want it. Come to my girl’s spot in like twenty minutes.”

“What is it?” Bubb questioned.

“Loud,” Worlds answered, thinking about the work he took from Gotti.

“Okay, cool! But I’m talking real work. I’ll see you in a few, ’cause I don’t like speaking about shit on the jack.”

“I feel you, and I’ll get at you when you get here.”

Worlds ended the call just in time to catch the end of SportsCenter. They were talking about how Lebron and Cleveland should try to sign D. Wade to help match up against the Warriors. They even mentioned Gasol’s name too.

He laughed as he sipped on some Hennessy. He jumped when he heard the front door slam. A couple of seconds later, Dom walked in, staring at Worlds like she was ready to kill him.

“I thought you didn’t fuck with your baby mom anymore?” she asked, throwing her keys at him, just missing his head.

“What are you talking about?”

“Don’t fucking play dumb with me, Donte. I’ve stuck by you the whole time you were locked up, and this is how you repay me!” she said, pulling up something on her phone and showing it to him.

Worlds read the message that Amanda had posted on Facebook, and then Dom showed him the video of them on Snapchat.

She was so upset, tears started falling from her eyes. Worlds knew he had fucked up by taking pictures of him and his family. He didn’t want to hurt Dom because she had done so much for him.

“Come here, baby. I’m sorry about that. I didn’t know she was going to post that. All I did was go see my kids. You can understand that, can’t you?” he asked, trying to calm down the situation.

“If you wanted to still be with her, why didn’t you say so? I would have fell the fuck back. I feel like you were just using me for money.”

Dominique was a good, ambitious twenty-five-year-old, but at that minute she felt like committing murder. People always took her kindness for weakness.
